Unique holiday house with an interesting layout and a private, secure pool, in the Lubéron nature reserve

This beautiful property lies between the two medieval villages of Bonnieux and Lacoste, amidst vineyards, with a view to the south of the silhouette of Bonnieux and to the west a clear view of the castle ruins of the Marquis de Sade in Lacoste. The property has a fenced 3000m² garden and is in the Parc Natural du Lubéron.

The first floor also measures 110m² and has a bedroom with a double bed (170 x 200cm) in the tower. It has an adjoining bathroom with a shower, bidet and washbasin. There is an enclosed children’s room with a single bed (80 x 200cm) not far from the tower room. You go through a dressing room with generous cupboards to get to the second bedroom with a double bed (190 x 20cm), a cupboard and a separate exit with stairs down to the terrace below. Divided from this room there is a small bedroom with a double bed. This floor has a bathroom with a WC, washbasin and bath. The open mezzanine lies above this floor, accessed via stairs, and has a further double bed (190 x 200cm). A cot with bars is available. The house has oil central heating and all the rooms have radiators, except for the bedroom in the tower.

Through several extensions, a former horse stables from the 18th century has been converted into a unique holiday ensemble providing around 220m² of living space, on the ground floor and the upper floor. The ground floor measures around 110m². It has a kitchen with an oven, microwave, electric stove, dishwasher and fridge. In a separate area there are a freezer and a washing machine. Adjoining the kitchen there is a big dining room with an 18th-century table and six Provençal chairs that are hand-painted. It also has a sofa and a fireplace. Next to this room there is the cosy fireplace room with four comfortable armchairs and a sofa. There is a cupboard space with a TV with Astra satellite channels in various languages. All of these rooms have doors that open onto the outdoor area. On this floor there is a small entrance area, with a toilet leading off it with a urinal and a washbasin.

A driveway with a gate leads into the site, where you can park securely. You can get to a range of cultural events in Aix en Provence and in Avignon in July and August within an hour and the Pierre Cardin events in Chateau Lacoste are practically on the doorstep. As regards gastronomy, there are many small restaurants with affordable prices and delicious dishes in the vicinity, as well as a gourmet temple with two Michelin stars. If you prefer to cook yourselves, you can find a smaller supermarket in the village of Bonnieux, about 5 kilometres away.

There are several doors in different parts of the building leading out onto the spacious terrace, with a directly adjoining swimming pool measuring 10.5 x 5.5m. The pool is secured with an electronic alarm system, In the evenings and at night the pool can be illuminated from the inside, creating a very romantic atmosphere. There is a Finnish sauna with several temperature levels near the pool, for use free of charge, as part of the wellness package.
